The New Relic User Group’s Eastern Tour keeps rolling along. In April, we’ll be showing up in Boston and Toronto. Be sure to join us for an evening of high-tech mingling, informative talks, and delicious food and drinks! Check out the events below and RSVP today!
To kick off the night with our hosts at Logentries, New Relic technical account manager Don Darwin will lead an New Relic APM workshop to help you dig into features like deployment tracking, server monitoring, notes, and custom dashboards. Don will also present an overview of newer products like New Relic Browser and New Relic Synthetics.
Later in the evening, Danielle Hewitt, director of information technology at power and site management solution provider Ontegrity (formerly BatteryCorp), will share how New Relic APM, New Relic Browser, and New Relic Insights have helped transform her company’s Optimization Management System from a legacy platform to stable, modern software within one week for use in a successful first launch, and ultimately, to a major full-suite deployment.
Lastly Bill Kayser, one of New Relic’s very first engineers, will show you how to discover the three most common performance problems in Web applications using New Relic APM. He’ll also share insider tips on how to leverage lesser-known New Relic features to foster a better understanding of how your applications are performing.
(Click here to RSVP for Boston! Thursday, April 2, from 6 – 8 p.m.)
Our friends at Pivotal will be hosting us for our Canadian debut in Toronto! To start off the evening senior technical account manager Gil Rice will lead an APM workshop where you’ll learn about key features to help you boost your apps’ performance.
Then Phil Miller, manager of UI development at Indigo Books & Music, will then show you how Canada’s leading bookseller uses New Relic to power its e-commerce site. And Wasim Hossain, Web developer at TELUS, will walk you through how his team is using New Relic APM.
To close out the night we’ll leave room for discussion along with a Q&A with New Relic product manager Stevan Arychuk. Be sure to bring your questions!
(Click here to RSVP for Toronto! Tuesday, April 7, from 6:15 – 8:30 p.m.)
These events are great opportunities to meet and learn from other New Relic users in your area, get face time with the New Relic team, and find answers to some of those lingering questions. Keep your eyes peeled, too—we’ll be returning to Chicago and London soon!
