Track Trends Faster and Easier With Our New Custom Dashboards

Have you ever wanted to see your application browser response time next to your server’s CPU usage and SQL volume? Well, you’re in luck: Now you can create charts and tables for everything that New Relic is monitoring with our new-and-improved Custom Dashboards. Whether you’re interested in viewing your mobile applications, servers, or plugins, now you can use the data from all over your stack to build an all-in-one Custom Dashboard. And as always – no coding required!

Why are custom dashboards useful?
Being able to look at data from many different parts of your stack allows you to see relationships between data trends. For example, if a high percentage of your application browser response time is spent making database requests, and the CPU usage on the database server is extremely high, your database server’s CPU power may be a limitation. You now have actionable information that you can use to improve your application’s performance.

How does it work?
Adding a chart to a Custom Dashboard from anywhere in New Relic is super easy. See a chart you like on your mobile app, server or plugin overview page? Simply hover over the chart and click Add to dashboard, and – voilà! – the chart is now on your Custom Dashboard.
