Exciting day at New Relic! Today we’re announcing support for .NET and PHP as well as a new round of funding. Sweet!

New Relic, Inc.Today we’re making two very exciting announcements. First is a $10M series C round of funding led by Tenaya Capital and joined by Allen & Company, with participation from Benchmark Capital and Trinity Ventures. We will use the funds to continue our aggressive growth and leadership in providing cloud services management solutions. Secondly, we’re announcing support for monitoring and managing the performance of .NET and PHP web apps. This makes RPM the first on-demand web application management tool to support Ruby, Java, .NET and PHP!

Brian Melton, managing director of Tenaya Capital said today “Tenaya Capital is pleased to work with New Relic as they help organizations address the challenge of migrating to the cloud and ensuring superior service delivery for their business-critical apps. New Relic is on a remarkable growth trajectory, and with its announcement today of support for additional development languages the company has doubled its addressable market opportunity. With its outstanding products and focus on delivering customer value, we expect the company to continue to build its leadership position in application management.”

It’s great to have Tenaya on board and we welcome Brian to the New Relic team.

RPM for .NET and PHP

The .NET agent is available today. If you are an existing RPM customer and want to deploy the .NET agent, just log in to RPM, click the support link, and in the lower right corner of the page you’ll find a link to download the agent. If you are not currently a customer, no problem. Just sign up for RPM Lite and in about 2 minutes you can be in .NET monitoring heaven.

The PHP agent allows you to monitor production PHP web apps like Drupal or your WordPress instance. You get an overview of application response time and throughput including memcache, database and external services. And of course you get visibility into web transactions and database calls to MySQL, PostgresSQL, and any PDO-supported database all the way down to SQL statements. The PHP agent is currently in private beta and we are accepting registrations for the public beta. If you are interested in trying the agent and would like to be notified immediately when the public beta agent is available, please take a moment to give us your contact info.
