With the West Coast under our belt, New Relic User Groups are headed to Atlanta and New York City this March! Check out this month’s lineup and if you’re in the area, be sure to join us for an evening of mingling, talks, and food and drinks.

Atlanta: Thursday, March 12th

The event will kick off with a free 45-minute APM training session with our own Ken Ahrens. Ken will teach you how to get the most from New Relic APM by using features like deployment tracking, server monitoring, and Custom Dashboards.

Chris DiGanci, James Heady, Vince Veselosky

The training session will be followed by a talk by Chris DiGanci, Jesse Heady, and Vince Veselosky of Cox Media Group’s Consumer Systems Technology team. Their team operates more than 80 digital properties, including Atlanta favorites AJC.com, WSBTV.com, and WSBRadio.com. Chris, Jesse, and Vince will discuss how Cox Media uses New Relic to monitor and fine-tune the performance of their content management system and Web API.

Finally, New Relic Insights expert Mike Hammond will show you how to collect even more data using custom events. Specifically, Mike will walk you through inserting and storing custom events by leveraging the New Relic Insights API, which makes them available for querying along with the data captured by New Relic agents.

New York City: Tuesday, March 31st

We’re returning to NYC to reprise the success of our first New Relic User Group back in August. This time around we’ll have even more great talks from esteemed New Relic users like Alberto Lopez, CTO of Pixable. Alberto will show you how his company uses New Relic Browser, New Relic Synthetics, and New Relic Mobile to boost the performance of its visual content platform.

Roger Berlind headshotEarlier in the evening you’ll also hear from New Relic’s Roger Berlind, who will be leading an APM training session as well as a new product overview. Roger will share a few tips and tricks for getting the most out of New Relic APM and also sharing how New Relic Browser and New Relic Synthetics can help you further boost the performance of your software.

These events are great opportunities to meet and learn from other New Relic users in your area, get some face time with the New Relic team, and learn the answers to some of your lingering questions. Keep your eyes peeled—we’re headed for Boston and Toronto next!
