Today is a pretty good day — and it just started! What makes it special for us? Well, for one, we are announcing that we’ve reached an important company milestone. More than 10,000 organizations around the world are actively using New Relic’s web performance service! That may seem like a moderate number to some, but for us it means a lot, especially since we’ve only been in the market for 3 years (and how those three years have flown by!). The 10K customers milestone came pretty quickly on the heels of our Real User Monitoring announcement, which we are still stoked about as well. We are currently monitoring 1.5 Billion page loads a week with RUM and we are hearing from a lot of folks that it’s a very useful addition to their existing New Relic data set.
Another thing that promises to make today great day is that we are exhibiting at Velocity 2011. If you are attending the show, please stop by our booth and say hi. We’ll treat you to some conversation and a demo of real user monitoring if you’re interested. And don’t miss Lew’s session today at 4:05 in Rm. 203. Our founder and company namesake Lew Cirne will be speaking about how he and the dev team went about architecting, building, and running a service on 9 servers that has Twitter-like throughput. We hope to see you there!
