New Relic Availability Monitoring Expands with Multi-Region Uptime Awareness

New Relic has expanded our Application Availability Monitoring service to monitor from multiple locations throughout the US. This means your application’s availability will be checked more frequently and more accurately! If a downtime event does occur, you’ll be able to see which region it was reported from and the number of failed checks from each region.

This new distributed architecture gives you the confidence that when New Relic says your application is running, it’s running for everyone.

We’ve also expanded the set of IP addresses that are generating the availability checks. Make sure all IP addresses are allowed to check your site to make sure you’re fully covered. For a list of these addresses, and more information on Availability Monitoring, see our FAQ page.
