Move Over Movember: It’s Time to Shave It All Off!

Leah gets into the Movember movementLately it’s been a little scary hairy at New Relic’s offices. Facial hair can be seen in many a cubicle as the most manly among us have taken on the Movember challenge. Whether their ‘staches look good or bad, these brave men have been patiently waiting for the day they could shave it all off. That day is finally here!

In case you missed our previous post, Movember is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for men’s health initiatives, including cancer and mental health research. Each November, over a million men worldwide start the month clean shaven, and spend the next 30 days grooming and growing their moustaches.

If you’re in San Francisco, join us tomorrow afternoon from 4:30 – 6:00 pm for our Shave It All Off party at our headquarters (101 Second Street at Mission). We’ll have professional barbers on hand for complimentary shaves of your ‘staches, along with food, drinks, music, and more.

To support this great cause, and the work of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, New Relic has agreed to donate $10 for each deploy made during the month of Movember. So if you haven’t tried New Relic already, what are you waiting for? Sign up for your free account through November 30 and we’ll donate $10 to a great cause on your behalf.

(Don’t forget to watch this space next week to find out how much we’ve raised for these wonderful organizations!)
