w00t! New Relic Wins Marketo’s “Most Creative…” Revvie Award

Marketo revvie logoLast week Marketo announced the recipients of its 2015 Revvie Awards, which “highlight the most innovative Marketo customers, partners, and individual marketers whose programs have significantly impacted company revenue and built engaging, long-lasting relationships with customers through their use of Marketo’s engagement marketing platform.”

Following the awards’ theme of “using Marketo to push the status quo and break away from the competition,” we’re proud to say that for the second time in three years, New Relic was among the winners!

Miniature billboards

This time around, we won the award for “The Innovator, Most Creative Integrated Marketing Campaign (Business to Business).” According to Marketo, New Relic is “highlighted in the B2B category for leveraging Marketo to drive its ‘We are all data nerds’ brand awareness campaign. The campaign used Marketo to target customers and prospects with personalized ‘miniature billboards’ featuring the business benefits of data from software analytics.”

 

“We really wanted to focus on delighting our customers; doing something extraordinary for them and bringing a little fun into our marketing,” explains Tommy Lloyd-Davies, New Relic’s customer lifecycle marketing manager and the person who came up with the idea. “We couldn’t get everyone on an actual, full-size billboard so we went with the next best thing: miniature build-your-own billboards they could display on their desks.”  

 

As for the Marketo connection, Baxter Denney, New Relic’s director of marketing operations, notes that “Marketo is our preferred platform because it’s flexible and scales with us. The icing on the cake is how Marketo is designed to easily integrate with other core technologies as well as with New Relic’s analytics platform, New Relic Insights.”

Repeat winner

This isn’t the first time New Relic has been honored by Marketo. Back in 2013, New Relic took home the Revvie for ‘Most Innovative Integration with Marketo.’ (Note that New Relic didn’t submit a Revvie entry last year. Like the San Francisco Giants, we win in alternating years!)

All of the Revvie winners are being celebrated this week at the Marketo Marketing Nation Summit 2015 in San Francisco.
