New Relic has the world’s largest database of application performance data, and it grows daily. More than 40,000 JVMs or Ruby instances send application performance data to RPM every minute. This is an incredibly valuable asset to us at New Relic, because it helps us understand what types of applications our customers are running, and what their performance management requirements are. Contrast this to virtually all on-premise APM vendors (that is, everybody else) who must rely on sample web apps like the Java Pet Store, to build and test their APM offerings. The results are a striking contrast in product relevance and usability in real world environments.
