Internet Retailer Top 1000 Names New Relic Most Prevalent Web Performance Monitoring Solution

Internet Retailer Magazine has just released the 2015 Edition of its Leading Vendors to the Top 1000 (paid download) and we couldn’t be more thrilled that New Relic was ranked the No. 1 most prevalent Web Performance Monitoring solution among the Top 1000 E-Retailer merchants.

Each year, Internet Retailer Magazine ranks and analyzes the leading e-commerce technology providers to America’s top 1,000 retailers based on surveys requesting they name their solution providers. This year New Relic showed exciting growth across the board. In addition to our No. 1 ranking in offering Web Performance Monitoring to the nation’s Top 1000 retailers, we did remarkably well in other categories, too.

Specifically, we were:

Top1000No. 1 in the number of Web Performance Monitoring clients among the Top 1,000 e-retailers. According to Internet Retailer, in 2014, New Relic had 144 Top 1000 clients, up from just 18 in 2013, based upon survey responses.

No. 2 in the number of Web Performance Monitoring clients among the Top 500 online retailers, with 74 clients, up from just 10 last year. Internet Retailer estimated the total sales of New Relic’s Top 500 Retailer clients at almost $20 billion.

No. 3 in the collective Web sales of the Top 1,000 e-commerce retailers who named New Relic, up from No. 9 last year.

No. 19 in a Top 25 Service Provider List for the Top 1,000. The list includes vendors in 30 different technology categories ranging from Affiliate Marketing to Web Site Testing/Optimization.

According to the Top 1000 report, apparel/accessories and housewares/home furnishings are the biggest categories of e-retail New Relic users. Our customers from the Top 1000 retailers include

  • 9 catalog/call centers
  • 22 manufacturers
  • 27 chain retailers
  • 86 Web-only merchants

Internet Retailer publishes the largest monthly e-retailing magazine and the most popular website. The methodology for its Leading Vendors to the Top 1000 report is based on surveys of the Top 1,000 e-retailers covering their financial operations, Web sales, and traffic.
