Our famous FutureStack conferences have long been a highlight on New Relic’s calendar, but this year New Relic customers and fans don’t have to journey to San Francisco or wait till the fall to get in on the learning and excitement.

Our FutureStack 16 World Tour kicks off July 5 in London, England (right before the AWS Summit), with a full day of industry-leading speakers, hands-on training, and a healthy dose of fun.

The goal of the event, according to Patrick Lightbody, New Relic’s SVP of product management, is to help attendees use New Relic to understand their systems, their applications, their performance, and, ultimately, their digital business. That means everything from customer presentations to advanced use cases to in-depth training classes ranging from getting started to leveraging advanced features.

Special guest: RedMonk’s James Governor

For our special guest speaker, we’re thrilled to have James Governor, principal analyst and founder of RedMonk, the technology-focused analyst firm, offering his special brand of insight into the big trends facing dev and ops, including increasingly complex infrastructures, microservices, Docker, and today’s cloud architectures. Mehdi Ali, digital platform manager at News UK, meanwhile, will reveal how their monitoring efforts give the company—whose brands The Times, The Sunday Times, and The Sun touch 75% of the country’s population—a data-driven picture of what’s working and what needs improvement.

Other presenters include Kevin Bowman, head of operations at Sky Betting & Gaming, sharing the inside scoop on how they planned for and ran the busiest sports betting day of the year. And don’t miss Matthew Churcher, performance test engineer for NewVoiceMedia, and Guillaume Postaire, deputy CTO of France Télévisions Editions Numériques.

From New Relic, look for talks by CMO Robson Grieve and Lee Atchison, principal cloud architect and advocate.

Hands-on training, too!

But it’s not all thought leadership and inspiration. FutureStack 16 Tour: London also includes a full menu of hands-on New Relic University workshops, including APM Fundamentals, Browser & Synthetics Fundamentals, Advanced APM & Troubleshooting, Advanced APM & Insights, and Synthetics Scripting & Insights. Not to mention unparalleled networking opportunities with New Relic execs and other users.

It’s all happening at 155 Bishopsgate in central London, starting at 9 a.m. and concluding with a posh evening reception and book signing of Lee Atchison’s new book Architecting for Scale: High Availability for Your Growing Applications.
