If you haven’t yet checked it out, take  a look at Lew’s Blog.  This week, Lew talks about Enterprise Software’s most expensive Band-Aid: Professional Services.  Because Enterprise IT Management software is so difficult to deploy and configure, most vendors offer Professional Services to help the customer get the software to do what he wants it to do.  The process is expensive and time consuming, and doesn’t scale well in environments with a large number of applications.
