After an exhilarating week at AWS re:Invent 2016, it’s a good time to reflect on New Relic’s alignment with Amazon Web Services and touch on some highlights from the last few weeks. Not only has New Relic continued to progress within the AWS Partner Network, we have expanded our robust monitoring capabilities for AWS products and services. New Relic also announced our participation in the AWS Marketplace SaaS seller program, simplifying procurement for new customers.

Let’s take a look at some of the most important news:

AWS Marketplace SaaS

New Relic joins the launch partners of the SaaS Subscriptions offering on the AWS marketplace that launched November 16. Simplifying procurement of New Relic’s latest product, New Relic Infrastructure, the AWS Marketplace makes it easier than ever for operations teams to adopt and monitor the cloud. Customers can enjoy consolidated billing for all of their AWS services, software, and now SaaS Subscriptions such as New Relic.

AWS Partner Day

Taking place November 29 in Las Vegas in the run-up to AWS re:Invent, AWS Partner Day was full of announcements and learning for AWS Partner Network attendees. With more than 10,000 members added over the year, the increased size and excitement was palpable in the audience during the Partner Day keynote. Even more important, the growth in the number of APN members has been accompanied by new and expanded Partner Programs. Qualification for these programs requires technical validation and alignment on AWS’ key tenet of customer obsession. New Relic is excited to have achieved:

apn partners growth

  • AWS Public Sector Program: New Relic was included in the launch of this program designed for partners with solutions and experience to help deliver government, education, and nonprofit customers around the world. As New Relic moves forward with FedRamp certification, participation in this program helps give public sector and government customers confidence that New Relic can provide the tools they need for visibility and digital intelligence in the AWS cloud.
  • AWS DevOps Competency: AWS continues to invest in programs designed to help customers find APN members that can deliver the right technology for the job at hand. In the case off DevOps practices, New Relic recently achieved the APN DevOps Competency (we had already achieved APN competencies in Migration and Mobile), and we are excited to showcase the specialized value we can bring to DevOps teams. • Support for AWS Lambda with New Relic Infrastructure: With the recent launch of New Relic Infrastructure, we released a set of 12 out-of-the-box integrations supporting key AWS services. We’re happy to include support for Lambda to that list. To try out the integrations, sign up for a free 30-day trial of New Relic Infrastructure Pro.

New Relic is excited to continue supporting AWS customers as an APN Advanced Technology Partner with our world-class products and services. You can find the latest news and updates on our alliance with AWS at http://newrelic.com/aws.
