Last week, our team announced an awesome opportunity for New Relic users to hang out with the #codingCEO, Lew Cirne, this Friday at SXSW Interactive. And, after sifting through tweets and lines of code to select the most impressive entries, we’re excited to reveal that we’ve narrowed it down to one very lucky, very talented winner.
So, without further ado, please join us in saying a big “congratulations” to Jacob Brady!
Jacob will be attending SXSW Interactive on behalf of Inflection, and has been using New Relic for multiple projects throughout his career. He will get to meet with Lew before his Future15 session, learn more about his journey to becoming a coding CEO, and pick his brain about everything from entrepreneurship to designing the next awesome app in the market. Keep up with Jacob’s SXSW adventures by following him on Twitter at @polyfish42.
A big thank you goes out to all who participated over the last few days. If you were not selected this time around, look on the bright side: You still get to spend the next week living the #SXSWnerdlife and hanging out with some of the best and brightest minds in tech today. That’s not so bad now, is it?
While you’re at SXSW, keep an especially close eye out for representatives from our New Relic team. We’ll be the ones sporting “nerd life” tattoos – come grab one from us (don’t worry, they’re temporary). And remember, you can still catch Lew as he makes his “Case for the Coding CEO” at this Friday’s Future15 session. Check out the information below for more details:
Date: Friday, March 7
Time: 5:00 to 5:15 p.m. CST
Location: Austin Convention Center, Ballroom F
Coding is a skill that is traditionally held by a select group of individuals within a company. We know them as app developers, computer science students, programmers, hackers … and now, more than ever, CEOs. At New Relic, a San Francisco-based startup that gives developers the software analytics they need to understand web/mobile app performance, CEO and Founder Lew Cirne still actively codes, often for weeks at a time, to develop the next innovation for his products. It’s his passion. It’s his mission to instill craftsmanship, even at the code level, so the product will be simple and easy to use while offering advanced technical functionality at a price anyone can afford. There are now opportunities in the new economy for leaders to possess this hybrid business/technological skill set. During this solo presentation, Lew will discuss the benefits of being a CEO who embrace his inner nerd and what leaders in technology will achieve by making coding a priority.
