New on RailsLab: Latest RoR State of the Stack benchmarking report shows commonly deployed versions and plugins

State of the Stack Report for January 2009New Relic is currently helping more than 3000 customers manage the performance of their web applications. Because we deliver our product as a service and do all the performance analysis in our own datacenter, we’ve amassed a good deal of data on the tens of thousands of web applications we’re monitoring. What do we do with all this information? Many of our customers have opted in to have their performance data shared with the Rails Core Team to aid in the team’s ongoing work on the platform. Additionally, we periodically issue a “State of the Stack” report, which lists the most commonly used used versions of Ruby, Rails, and plugins used in production applications. The report allows you to to compare your deployment environment with those of your peers and helps you determine if there are some plugins you may want to consider using.

The January 2010 edition of the report is posted on RailsLab. We invite you to check it out.
