This article was recently posted on Jessie Andrew’s blog at www.overstimulate.com. It is an excellent example of how customers are using New Relic RPM to find significant ways to improve the performance of their Ruby on Rails applications. In the blog post, Jessie indicated that his site’s average response time was cut in half, and the response time for finding a specific comment dropped from ~160ms to ~20ms. Significant gains in performance, congratulations Jessie!
