DrupalCon Munich 2012 – A Retrospective

Feel the heat or try to stay cool?

The view outside DrupalCon Munich 2012

That could have been the theme for year’s DrupalCon Munich. It was hot outside the Westin Grand München where we joined about 2,000 other attendees to get the latest news about the Drupal 8 roadmap, and learn the hottest tips and tricks for the current version.

The New Relic team at DrupalCon Munich 2013We had a great time, and got to meet a lot of our current and future customers. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to get a demo or had questions about our product.

After a week back at the office, we’ve had a chance to reflect on the conference and wanted to share these highlights:

* It was great to connect with some of the core developer of Symfony 2, a framework that is central to the upcoming Drupal 8 release. We now have more ideas how to design and implement New Relic support for Symfony 2, and ensure we are ready and waiting to help you pinpoint any performance issues you have when you move your project to Drupal 8 next summer.

* The Drupal Modules view with our PHP agent was a big hit during our demos at the conference. Try it out if you haven’t already.

* Our Data Nerd tshirts were a big hit. We need to pack some more next time 🙂

If you missed us at the show, you still have time to try New Relic Pro for free for 30 days. Go to newrelic.com/drupal and type Drupal30 in the promo field to claim your account today.

Hope to see you all next year in Prague and happy tuning!
