We are back from RailsConf 2008. The show was terrific in general and very exciting for New Relic as well. We spent much time demonstrating RPM to potential customers, partners, and passersby. At times the show was overwhelming, with people standing three and four deep in our booth looking to get a peak at RPM. There were dinners, visits with friends in the Rails community, and a lot of fun to go around for the entire team.
In addition to being our first trade show of note, we also had two very important announcements. First, we released New Relic RPM 1.0 to the Rails Community. The interest was staggering. By the end of Rails Conference we had hundreds of accounts monitoring their applications with RPM. Second, we announced that EngineYard would be providing New Relic RPM Basic to every EngineYard customer free of charge.
All in all, we had a great time in Portland. Others seemed to as well…we even had people write about us. Take a look:
