I almost reported that I had a problem with metrics not showing up when trying this out on a test server.

Here's how I proceeded:

1. Select the test environment where I'm trying this
2. Create new Dashboard
3. Follow the instructions in this post

No "Workers/" metrics were showing up.

The solution was to scroll down to the bottom of the "Edit Chart" page, click "Advanced options" and select the proper environment again.

NewRelic: please also consider this as an issue report ;-) It's not a bug, but it's definitely a UX issue. When I "Create new Dashboard" for a given environment, I very much expect this environment to be selected by default later on when I'm building my charts :-)

Thanks for this great service.

The metrics from Resque don't include any of the queue stats. The only thing here that would apply is the bottom right graph, which you could also build for a custom dashboard.

The Resque instrumentation was moved out of rpm_contrib and into the Ruby agent, so you should no longer be using rpm_contrib to monitor Resque once you upgrade to the latest newrelic_rpm gem.

I switched to Resque few months ago and get addicted.

Hey, what about Resque instrumentation? Will it benefit from this?

And also, since rpm_contrib is no longer recommended, where does resque instrumentation live now?
