Save the Dates: Pizza & PaaS with Tier 3 and the SF Node.js Meetup

By Posted in New Relic News, Top Post 17 May 2012

Update: The Pizza & PaaS Meetup has been postponed and the new date is TBD. We’ll update this post as soon as the new date becomes available.

We’re sponsoring two upcoming Meetups in San Francisco. On Tuesday May 22nd, we’ll be at the Node.js Serverside Scripters Club. And on a date TBD, we’ll be hosting Pizza & PaaS with our partner Tier 3. Both feature great speakers and hands-on labs, so don’t forget to bring your laptop and be prepared to roll up your sleeves.

Tuesday’s Node.js Meetup features author and engineer Niall O’Higgins. Niall will give a short introduction to TDD and Mocha, followed by a hands-on training lab where you can work on a real world project.

Join us soon for an evening of pizza, beer and coding with Tier 3, the team who created Iron Foundry. They will be demoing Web Fabric, their new Cloud Foundry-based PaaS solution. At the event, you will learn how to scale and consume services with PaaS, what you should look for in a PaaS solution, and the key characteristics a PaaS needs to make it into the enterprise. You’ll walk away with a micro-instance of Cloud Foundry and Iron Foundry, along with a free trial account on Tier 3.

If this isn’t enough, we’ll also be providing food and drinks. So come on by, say hi and meet other developers and the New Relic team. We hope to see you there!
