A Look Back at Percona Live

Lew at Percona Live

We had a great time at Percona Live last week! With over a thousand attendees and experts from across the MySQL ecosystem, the event featured high quality talks and a real sense of community. Our new partner Percona did an amazing job organizing the event.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and attended Jim Gochee’s sessions. We enjoyed getting to know you and answering your questions about app performance. Special thanks to Shopify for allowing us to demo their data, and Baron Schwartz, Percona Chief Performance Architect, for mentioning us in his keynote and elsewhere.

If you attended Percona Live but didn’t have a chance to stop by our booth, there’s still time to try New Relic Pro for 30 days. To start your free trial, simply sign up using promo code percona30 and install New Relic today,

We look forward to seeing you at Percona Live 2013.

  1. That’s great, congratulations! Glad to see a RoR optazimition example. Steve Souders has been doing a series of blog articles investigating the performance of 3rd party widgets. He hasn’t looked at Facebook (yet anyway) but I’ve seen similar problems with their modules as well.On the jQuery front, I also used to serve from Google’s repository and it’s a great way to get re-use across the Internet (odds are that it’s already in a lot of people’s browser caches). I actually had to switch to my own CDN because some idiotic IT department decided it would be a good idea to put in a DNS block for google.com to keep their workers from searching the web and as a result broke my site as well
