New Relic joins the OpenStack community to provide proven app performance management for organizations leveraging open source cloud

By Posted in New Relic News 22 December 2011

Great news for organizations leveraging open source cloud computing! Today we announced that New Relic has joined the OpenStack™ community. OpenStack is a global collaboration of developers and technologists producing the open standard cloud-computing platform for both public and private clouds. Now organizations deploying web applications on OpenStack can use New Relic to automatically monitor their apps in production, and proactively identify and eliminate potential bottlenecks.

OpenStack is an open source project that delivers standards-based solutions for all types of clouds by being simple to implement, massively scalable, and feature rich. Its technology consists of a series of interrelated projects delivering cloud infrastructure components, including compute, storage, and networking.

New Relic works automatically with the OpenStack Platform to enable deployment teams to monitor the health and availability of their web apps. New Relic has also been tested on the OpenStack-based HP Cloud Services private beta, and has successfully deployed and monitored an application on that platform.

We are excited to be a part of OpenStack’s growing expert community! If you’ve already deployed an app on OpenStack, simply sign up for New Relic to begin monitoring and managing your app’s performance today.
